Martha's Table Joins Maret School Students in Supporting the Community

Attorney Deena Williamson serves as general counsel and corporate secretary at IBEX Global, a Washington, D.C.-based outsourcing company. During her free time, Deena Williamson actively supports several charitable organizations, including Martha's Table.

Founded in 1979 through the partnership of Dr. Veronica Maz and Father Horace McKenna, Martha's Table provides support to children, families, and communities by increasing their access to quality education, healthy food, and other family needs. Since it began, the organization has grown steadily and today reaches thousands of people every year through the efforts of over 16,000 volunteers.

To support the local community, pre-K to third-grade students from Martha's Table's educational programs recently collaborated with third-graders from the Maret School in northwest D.C. in a one-day event. The young students worked together to assemble bags of toiletries for local community members in need. Tiffany Williams, the director of Martha’s Table’s Healthy Start program, stated that this program will enable students to have a mindset that's both global and geared toward making a difference in the community.
